Am pretty new to .Net and am trying to use MaskEdBox on form so data is entered in correctly by users. The problem that my application is having is that it doesn't want to write data to or read data from a MaskEdBox. I added MaskEdBox to toolbar, by clicking customize, selecting COM tab, and tool. It shows up referencing it in solution explorer. Any advice or help is appreciated. If need be I can post code, but don't think that is problem as can write same data to regular text box.

try installing the visual basic resource kit and componentone. they have a textbox that works just fine, is 100% managed .net code and has an editmask property.

the resource kit is free and can be downloaded at microsoft, every vb.net programmer should have it.

Thanks Christiaan, had downloaded VB Resource kit, but hadn't installed yet. Good to know they have that feature, but still curious as to why the MaskEdBox doesn't populate, Anyway for starting my Monday out with good news/info a star for you.
