Marquee tool in flash

Is there any tool in Flash (Marquee tool in photoshop)that let select and then you can copy that.

so if I have an object suppose a rectangular, i want to select part of it and copy/paste some where else i can not do that?

actualy I found a way. You go into object master file (not instance) click on it. then pick the 'arrow tool' press 'alt' and drag it on the object. it will select the portion of the object which can be cut or copied ......
