Hi gang,

I'm using Mappoint to plot cities in which X number of people are enrolled in a particular type of activity so that I can graphically display worldwide the levels of enrollment by city. So my list for location includes country and city and I am overlaying this with activity type. HOWEVER sometimes multiple activity types occur in the same city SO you only see one activity type because they are all superimposed on each other (I'm using colour coding to distinguish between activity types) so basically you only see one colour. How do I have the different activities that just happen to be occuring in different cities be shown on the map as distinct units?

Not sure if this will help you, but I had a similar situation where I was graphing pushpins by latitude/longitude. Since the lat/long was being generated from zip codes, whenever there was more than one pushpin in the same zip code it they all overlaid on the same spot.

I wrote a routine to dither the lat/long so that each one would be slightly different and then the desired appearance was achieved.

If you are locked in to city/state/country, perhaps you can find nearby cities to act as surrogates for data points that map to the same location.
