Hello All

Currently when a user is connected to the network mapping drives to this particular W2k server works OK. However if the same user then dials in he/she is unable to map any drives to this server -- In fact the only way they can connect to the server at all is using the local admin login. Even the network Administrator is unable to connect. The server is a member server. I have checked all the permissions on this server and the existing shares.
Has anybody come accross this type of problem when dilaing in to s network??

One thing to check is that RAS can be in localaccesonly mode or network wide mode.
another thing to check is if the dialin machine can ping the target server. pretty often, i have found, there can be name resolution problems over dialin.
on some dialin users i have made entries in the hosts file to resolve this.
