Hi all,
Just have some questions regarding using MAPI controls and anti virus software. I was playing with some code from a microsoft book and wanted to try one of the sample apps which was an email app. As soon as I placed a MAPISession control on the form, Norton antivirus pops up and shuts down Visual Basic. So I shut down Norton, restart and manage to finish the test form but when I run it I get a fatal Error in Kernal32.dll. Is this caused by Norton even though Norton is shut down? If I uninstall Norton or disable email scanning, and this happened to be an app that was going to be distibuted, wouldn't this problem pop up on other users machines who have antivirus apps running? What do you do about mail programs and antivirus apps?
