I have just started preping for an Exchange 2003 rollout to complement our new W2K3 domain, but i am having a problem. It probably is an easy one for most, but i cant get the POP3 or IMAP services to start (they were stopped by default). No event logs give up the reason why any attempt to start them results in a time out. I assume MAPI and HTTP is working, because i can get mail if i configure an outlook exchange account, or log into OWA. If i configure pop3 or imap, no dice. I would like to run Pop3, but i am aparently am to stupid to work on exchange!

Help!

These services are disable by default so you won't be able to start them through System Manager before either setting them to Manual or Automatic in the Services applet.

Thanks 7139.

I was about to kill myself figuring this out.
