MAPI.Session

I am trying to use tip#faq184-1769 - sending email using the Mapi and I am getting the error 'Class Defenition MAPI.Session not found' when the line of code CREATEOBJECT("MAPI.Session&quot runs.

I am using VFP 7 in XP. The file MAPI32.DLL exists in system32 directory.

The code requires to have CDO (CDOSYS.DLL) installed on your computer. Is it?

Try this, to see if it throws an error:

oMSG = CREATEOBJECT("cdo.message")
oMSG.To = "me@nowhere.com"
oMSG.From = "me"
oMSG.Subject = "Hello Email"
oMSG.TextBody = "This is an easy way to create an email"
oMSG.Send()

For MAPI.Session you have to have cdo.sys on your computer.

MAPI can be slow if you're sending alot of messages: Just using SMTP directly speeds things up alot.
