I'm in quite a hurry, so I will make it quick.

I need to "map" the current active directory structure and and chart it as a organizational chart. I also need to enumerate all the groups that all users belong to, are there any tools out there that can do this?

Thanks

Hi,

I haven't use this but there is a plug-in for Visio 2003 called lanmap from fluke networks. I believe it is also on the resource kit. I think there is a trial version available. I would be interested to know about any software that does this.

Sorry,

its not what you are talking about, is it.. school boy error

Actually I believe starting with Visio 2000 and newer there is an AD mapping tool. It poles via LDAP and gathers information about users, groups, schemas, etc.

2003 does not have that functionality anymore

vision 2000 is the only with it

almost got a paragraph there :)

you could do an ldifde dump of the entire domain (verbose dump)

this would get all group memberships, but would be cryptic to read kind of if you don't know what you're looking at
