Mandrake 10 CDROM Not Loading

I'm a linux newbie so bare with me.

I'm installing Mandrake 10 on a compaq proliant 3000. I boot of the CD, it asks for the installation method. I choose CD, but then it comes back and says no CDROM Device Found. How can this be? It boots off the CD just fine? Do I need to load a generic cdrom file onto a floppy and load the driver that way?
