hi,
I´ve a a problem with my profiles.
In my domain (w2k-domain) are some users who have a desktop pc and a notebook. (they use the same user-account for both)
on the desktop pc I want to have a mandatory profile.
but I don´t want the same mandatory profile on the notebooks.(there should be a local profile) how can I prevent that?

greets,
mewi

Have the users log onto the laptops to create their accounts. Then under My Computer>Properties>User Profiles>Change type to "Local". If the profile under Docs and Settings is set to .man, switch it to .dat. The mandatory profile should not get picked up once the laps are set to local.

Try that....

Hi!

I tried that, but had no luck.
I set it to "local" and renamed the local ntuser.man to ntuser.dat
The next time I log on, I again get the mandatory profile from the server. It seems to have a mixture of both now.
(I have a ntuser.dat and a ntuser.man file now in my local profile. And the profile size is also 2-times bigger than before)
