Mandatory Profile Frustrations

I have a mandatory profile and system policied account that 200+ users utilize. My problem is that when things are changed on a machine (such as removing software or updating IE) when this username is logged in it wants to do the new browser settings or ask if the settings for MSN messenger should be removed since it got uninstalled, or when powerpoint gets fired up, it wants to know the users name (like all office products), etc. Now of course since it is policied and mandatory, this comes up everytime, no matter if you say yes/no OK/cancel or whatever. This wouldnt be a big deal if it was on a few PCs, but we are talking over 200 and a small staff. Any ideas about registry editing or something in the policy I can do to eliminate this stuff? Thanks for any help!

Sorry, I forgot to mention that all NT 4 servers and workstations considered here are at SP6a. I also have the 'dont save settings on exit' selected for the policy, I have tried it without and also tried with renaming .man back to .dat. Doesnt seem to help.

Thanks,
GW
