What is a manageable way to create modifiable item “kit” orders.

For example: The following is the item id field contents

ItemId:

AF14 20 2
APR201
AZT7
BEC3380
BECAF44XR
BECF0
BG108121
BGP04080
BLN1/2 24
BLN1 8
BRP21/2 20
CARCF1103F

In this example, lets say we have established that there are 3 different kits and they are as follows:

kitId Quantity ItemId

kit1 3 AF14 20 2
kit1 2 APR201
kit1 4 AZT7

kit2 2 BGP04080
kit2 3 BG108121
kit2 4 BEC3380
kit2 4 BLN1/2 24
kit2 7 BECF0

kit3 1 AF14 20 2
kit3 2 APR201
kit3 4 AZT7
kit3 5 BECAF44XR
kit3 67 BLN1 8

In this example, these kits are ordered on a regular basis HOWEVER, often the quantities of the items in the kits vary. I am new to all this so if the general approach to this is wrong, feel free to redirect me. If my approach appears to be sound, how do I create recurring kit orders with slight modifications to the kits as I write up the orders?

Also, is there another term for “kit” that is universally recognized?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Ken
