Greetings Everyone.
To be brief I am trying to create external files of records and arrays. I define them in the type and variable settings
but when i tryed to use the put and get commands im my textbook i learned that 5.5 does not have these. Is there another method that i dont know of? PLZ HELP ME.

Yes, as lionehill says, blockWrite/blockRead is your solution. Assign a pointer to the record/array, specify size -use sizeOf() and take it from there.

Regards

Jakob

It depends on how you want to do it too (typed or untyped binary files). But blockread and blockwrite will do the job just fine for untyped files.
