Our plant manager has 2 Lucent 6416D+ phones in his office. Each one is connected to a seperate extension but the secondary one has 2 bridged call appearances for his main phone. This was done so he could answer calls coming in on his main phone from his secondary phone. This works, but the display does not show who is calling. Is there a way to have his second phone display the name and number of the caller? I don't care about maintaining the secondary extension number. If there is any way to make the second extension emulate the first please let me know.

Thanks,
Ken

Ken,
Is'nt it simpeler to make a coverpath for the first phone and set in the "coverage criteria" options the Busy selection to "y". Then the name will appear in the display of the second phone. Your boss still has the option to take the call of not. You could also use a pickup group but that will only show the caller as soon as you have picked up the call. I hope it helps.

(please excuse my poor English)

Hi dblcrona,

As far as i'm aware as long as the phone is set to ring immediately then it will show in the display - only on delayed or no-ring bridges will the display not show up (unless he is already on a call on the second phone).

Hope this helps,

Chris

Chris is correct, what you have is per button ring control set to y on the second page of the station form for your manager's two stations and the brdg-appr ring set to something other than 'r'.

You can go in and 'cha st x' and remove the per button ring control setting and this will fix the problem or you can change the ring setting on the brdg-appr to 'r' and this will also fix the problem.

Once you have done either of these two things the display will show caller's name for internal calls and will show which of the two extensions they rang.
