making whitespace in Floaters transparent

I have designed some cool logos that I want to use on the web. To create them I had to make them into floaters. The problem I have is that each one has white space surrounding it that I can't seem to get rid of. Anyone have any ideas about how to avoid this problem or how to remove the extra space.
