Thanks for your answer. This is what I thought but the only thing confusing me was when I look at the key assignment, to the right it says SIE#21(none). I thought I had seen the "none" as something else on a system; when I assigned the ringing it filled in with the ring type. I did not realize what was in the(). I have not tried this since all my programming is remote and I need someone on site to verify operation. Somebody before me had decided the way to do the multiple ring was to dial an analog ext which was connected to a CO port which appeared on multiple phones. I thought there had to be a better way.
Follow up question: when a call ringing on a SIE/CAR is answered, can the call be put on hold and be picked up at another phone that has the same SIE key? Can the call be transferred to another ext that does not have the SIE button?
thanks again.
