how does one change the html setting to make it xhtml compatiable?

I don't know how you'd do it as a default thing, but just including the XHTML and DOM specs in the doc header should do it. - "Oops! I've joined a club that'll have me as a member?" -

PS Doesn't the newpage opener give you an XHTML option in 5.0? Does in 5.1. - "Oops! I've joined a club that'll have me as a member?" -

i believe so, but what i'm after is when i hit the hot keys for line break, i get <br /> instead of <br>.
