Making an HTML email in Outlook?

Can anyone list out specific steps for how to create an HTML email in Outlook 2001 for the Mac? We need to make one for a client but it seems next to impossible to actually do... I had it working in Outlook Express on the PC (View Source, Edit, etc.) but when sent it wouldn't display correctly, and from what I can tell regular Outlook doesn't have any View Source or HTML edit sections.

can you create a template email from word? i think this would be the best way to keep the formatting ok.

just a shot in the dark really but if it helps let me know.
