I'm trying to recover data from a cracked CD. I've glued a disk on top to hold it together, and would like to spin it slowly to minimise the chance of it cracking completly, and to reduce any out of ballance components.
Anyone know how to get a new drive to read at 1x or 2x. Using a very old drive wont work, becouse in my experience they are not good at reading burned CDs.
Strange request I know, but any ideas (DOS switches etc.??)
All the best
James
