Here is the situation at work, every PC runs winNT 4.0 (they all have licenses pappers but not cd's for the individual PC's) When every a computer needs a driver or something from the NT disk, the master disk is used. Inevitable the disk gets scratched or damaged and becomes unusable and we have to order a replacement. I have tried burning a copy of it and using the copy instead. This works fine. Unfortunately it is not bootable. Any ideas on how to make it bootable? What I did was to create an image of the disk and burn that image. I am using adaptec 4.0. Would this also work for windows 2000 server as this is what our servers are going to?

Go to click on Support at the top of the page, then click on Support Knowledge Base, then on Find Answers...pick your category i.e., How To...then enter "make a bootable CD" in the Search Text box...there are quite a few intersting things on that page...hope this helps you...:)

Have you tried doing a direct CD to CD-R copy? I have copied several bootable CD-ROMs in the past and they all work... Mike Wills

Mike, I'll have to try the direct cd to cd-r copy and see if that works.

Thanks.
