Make TCP socket connection? 2

Hi experts,

Does anyone know how I can make a standard tcp socket connection from an asp page?

Basically i have a payment server that needs a socket connection and i want to make a call to it from an asp page using vbscript and then deal with the response back....

I think the php equivalent is fsocket

nope just some vbscript for use in asp pages - would i need to do it in VB?

There is no equivelant ASP function.

Use the XmlHttp method of MSXML2.

with .net you can do a socket connection using the

system.net.sockets.TcpClient()

method

i setup a simple pop3 mail reader a while ago, but haven't kept up with it
