make outlook standard mail client 1

hi folks,

would you mind telling me how i can make outlook my standard mail client (i am not getting asked on startup)?
using outlook 2000 on win 2000.

Ok, I see, it must be in there, but I cannot check that. Besides, I am not English speaking myself (Belgium).

Here is one other trick out of my sleave.
Close Outlook 2000
Start Outlook Express (does not matter if you don't use it).
If needed enter some temporary details if nothing was defined.
Click (in German I guess) Tools - Options.
In that screen, the bottom 2 buttons are there to make it the default mail client or news reader. Click to make it the default mail handler.
Now, close Outlook Express and open Outlook 2000 again.
When accessing a mailfolder, it should now ask you to make it the default.

I wonder ....
