Does anyone know if it is possible to create a .exe file from an Access 2000 database. I have seen the developer's edition, but it no longer makes the database into a .exe.

Looking to distribute an application built in Access 2000, and certainly willing to buy the proper tools to do so, but was wondering what the best way to do this is. Is the developer's edition the only option?

Access 2000 uses the Package and Deployment Wizard to create a "packaged solution" or a stand alone executable. The development package comes in Access Developer and is the only way to create a stand alone program. It is possible to include Access 2000 Runtime with the deployment in case a user does not have Access on their machine using the Developer. As far as I know, it is the only way.
