Major Dreamweaver 4 frame problem

OK it just started doing this, it is not something I just don't understand, I have been using Dreamweaver for a while. All of a sudden when I create any webpage that uses frames nothing tests properly anymore and I figured out what it is doing. It is adding a "/" in front of file links or pic links, or if I'm in a folder that is not teh root folder it is adding the folder name as well, even though that .html file is already in the same folder. If I open the file in IE by itself it still doesn't work. If I go into a different code editor and take out the "/" it works fine, but the second you open it in Dreamweaver again it adds those back in. This has to be something that someone else has dealt with. Please help

yeah if i remember correctly it has something to do with how your site is set up with your root folder and homepage folder...check your site properties and make sure they all point to the same folder
