I work for an enterprise which has its own mib module under private.enterprises, related to our original project. A new generation product was released, sharing many of the features of the original product, but also some new ones, so we wrote a new module under an adjacent node of the mib tree. The old generation product is now completely discontinued, so many objects in the original mib must be obsoleted, and others re-written.
This is leaving the mib module file in a mess, so I would like to know how to tidy it up. I remember reading that obsoleted objects can be archived off into a seperate module. Is this right? What guidance is there as to how it should be done?
