Mailmerge problem

hello everyone

i had a problem in linking word document while doing mailmerging, actually while creating word document from vfp inside it gives me msg path not valid and file name is not valid. i have windows XP and ms office xp installed. Is windows xp or msoffice xp has some problem with mail merging module from inside vfp.

I use Word's mailmerge often on XP, and I have found no problems. Can you post your code, so we can detect an error?

If your path has spaces in it, you have to enclose it in quotes or brackets.

Thanks for reply.

Here is a little code that i am sending. Actually this is code of a button which when i click it gives me error.And that error message is:

error no 1) error # 1429 in mailmergeword8(42): OLE IDEispatch exception code0 from ms word: the document name or path is not valid.

2)Error no 1924 in mailmergeword8(63): ODBC is not an object.
These are the two errors i am facing. actually i want to attch pic of this errors but anyways i have written it.
I have winxp machine and MS office xp installed.

In my previous post I meant for you to post the actual code you are using in the mailmerge, not specifically the error message. Error number 1 seem pretty clear, it seems to indicate the either the document does not exist or that your path to the document is incorrect.

Please note that My Module works very well with OFFICE 2000 & all other OFFICE Versions except OFFICE XP.

(Error with all WINDOWS Version with OFFICE XP)

My VFP is 6.0 Do you think that may be the reason... ?

If I want to only update my mailmerge.vc* & Header files to make it compatible with XP. How to do it ???
