I have a database of about 1700 records, mainly children, with addresses, phone no. and other info. Often there are several siblings in a family. Quaterly we send a newsletter and would like to send only one newsletter per family. I would like to produce the mailing label report and pull only one person per family ie do not duplicate the same "Last Name" at the same street address. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Before I print, I sort by zip code to help with the bulk mailing, it would even help if I could do a sub-sort by last name to catch the extra family members before we have to spend the postage.

Thank you so much....anxiously waiting help, have to mail soon!!!

can you send me the database and I'll make it work for you.
I have tried to come up with several approaches but typing the whole mess is going to take forever.
If you have a deadline I can make it in a few minutes.

Ask me how Bar-codes can help you be more productive.

No prob. Make a query to select unique values (ie. last name) Then do the mailing label wizard based on that query. Takes about 5 min. Sort the query how you want or you may sort it in label wiz. (I find it easier to sort in query.)
