mailboxes from 5.5 to 2003 in a different site

heres my problem (names have been changed to protect the innocent)

i have a 5.5 exch server in siteA called A
I have a 5.5 exch server in siteB called B
and now i have a 2003 exch in siteB called B2k3

I can move mailboxes from B to B2k3 fine
How can i move mailboxes from A to B2k3? I am thinking i have 2 options
1) - pst all the mailboxes and manually delete / re-create on B2k3, dont really want to do this!
2) - add a temp 2003 exch in siteA called A2k3, move mailboxes to this and then using exch2003 move mailboxes across the sites

does anyone know of a 3rd option that i can use? like a magic 5.5 to 2003 across site tool?!?

Option 3, apply Exchange 2003 SP1 or later to the B2K3 and read the following article:
