Hi,

I want to set up an e-mail account like "info@xyz.com" OR admin@xyz.com, do I have to create a user in active directories called info OR admin?

Secondly, I want all mail that comes into info OR admin to be distributed to multiple user within our organisation, how can I do this?

Thanks in advance

Vinny.

Is this actually Exchange 5.5 since you are mentioning AD?

Anyway.

As to the first, yes you would need a placeholder account in AD unless you want to add those e-mail addresses to an existing account. You can call the account anything you want, you'd just have to add the e-mail addresses you want to it and remove the address that exchange will assign by default if you don't want it.

As to the second, I am unsure.
I guess you could do it through delivery options, and alternate recipient. You'd have to create a DL to send to I expect.

Just create a DL, and give it that email address.
