Hi,

I have installed veritas 9.1 (without any patches) and configured it with remote exchange 2000 on Domain server.

backup & restore of exchange info store, mailbox & public folder is working fine.

I notice when I delete a user from Active Directory and go backup from Media server and refresh the mailbox & machine the account which I have deleted it still there without the details I mean the sub tree, this cause my backup to fail as the mailbox path is not exist.

who to get rid of this problem?

I tried the following and none of them solves the problem:

1-rebooted exchange
2-stop/start Veritas remote Agent service on exchange server
3-stop/start all Veritas Backup Exec services from Media server

4-close/open Veritas Gui

Second problem:
--------------
If I recreate any mailbox which was already there before
it appear under exchange server machine in Backup window of media server as 2 mailboxes referencing to the newly created mailbox.

why Backup exec create new mailbox entry whenever you delete and create the same account?

Note: also I a delete the mailbox for the same 3rd time it appear in backup media as 3 mailboxes.

what is the link for Backup exec 9.1 sp1

Thanks

I solved this problem when you delete the account from AD the mailbox will be kept in Exchange and then you have the option either to Purge it or reconnect it to another account.

I have purge them and the problem resolved.
