Hell and thanks inadvance for the help

Hers the problem---
I have a printed program that advertises ext 232 as the main contact for registration for a conference. Unfortunately it should of been ext 233 for the info. I cannot change the program or the ext.

The user on 232 doesnt need vmail for now. How do allow ext 232 to go to voice mail on ext 233? or can this be done?

Any solutions would be great. fornow we have forwarded all calls to 232 to go to 233. But we still need vmail for it.

Another problem is when 232 is in use a caller is not fwd to 233

I think you should modify the Mailbox #233 adding 232 as an Alt Ext. (go in F983 to do this).
F983, 102 XXXX (your mbox 102 password)
MBOX
CHNG
233
NEXT (x7)
CHNG
232

Now continue to leave on your call forwarding and it should work.

As for your "in use" problem: Go into system programming (**CONFIG), Terminals & Sets, 232, Capabilities, Fwd on busy. Set it to 233.

The only concern I have is, does the person who normally uses 232 still need to get calls? Because obviously, forwarding his calls means he can't get any incoming calls + people trying to reach him are going to end up at 233's phone or voicemail. Obviously this is a limitation of essentially sharing a phone number (232) with the 233 guy.

On 232, add an ans dn appear and ring for x233. Then follow dgpcp's suggestion, and program 233 as an alt ext on mb232.

Remove the manual fwd, and cfna both sets to vm as needed.
