Hi All,

I am having an issue with a users mailbox. She is receiving an email from the System Administrator saying that she is over her mailbox limit. I checked everything Inbox, Sent, Deleted etc, and she is not even close to her limit (20MB limit) she has 5MB in her mailbox. I checke the mailbx size through the ESM and Outlook and they both say 5MB. I think I have checked all of the obvious probelm areas but may have missed something, does anyone have any ideas about this?

Did you check the limit set on each of the indivdual databases within ESM? Admin Groups\site\server\storage groups\database. Right click and look at the limits tab.

Thanks Netadmin. I checked and they are above what my user has in her mailbox. The threshold for sending a warning is 17MB and sh is at 5MB. The only thing that I can think of right now is that the database somehow got corrupt. I'm still digging...

Hi Paulha

Yes, it is set to warn at 17000 and prohibit send/receive at 20000 I jumped up that limit and still get the message. I just removed all restrictions so I'll see what happens next

An update, I've noticed that messages are saying "This Message was AutoForwarded" which leads me to beleive that there is a mailbox that is being forwarded to her account. Is there an easy way to find this out? I checked in ADSI Edit and could not find an attribute for this.

Thanks

The problem turned out to be a mailbox was being forwarded to the users mailbox. However, it was not through ADUC, but was a server side rule in Outlook. I discovered this by matching up the KBs recorded in the System Administrators email to the user with the same number of KBs for any mailbox in the ESM. Sure enough there was a generic mailbox out there that no one knew about. I opened it in Outlook and found the rule. Thanks for all of your help!
