Hi

I am having a problem. I have some users who has limit size for mailbox. When the user get the limit we recommend create PST local file. The user create a PST but the size of mailbox continue the same as before create PST.

Please Help!!

Are they moving all files (Inbox, sent items, deleted items, drafts)?

they move Inbox and Sent Items e sometimes deletem some messages but the size of mailbox on exchange don´t change

Check the deleted item retention period in Exchange.

And .pst files are BAD. Drive space is drive space. Far more advantages to keeping it on the server than removing it.

If you are using Outlook 2003 you can go into mailbox Cleanup and click the view mailbox size... if you have anyquestion where the information is at. It also will help out finding old items or items larger then a specified size.

Find it under Tools>Mailbox Cleanup...

But Sniper is right to look for the retention period which is found on the Limits tab in the properties of the Mailbox Store that the mailbox resides on.
