Very strange issue....just upgraded to Exchange SP2 a few weeks ago. A user sent an email to a hotmail address, and somehow it ended up in a local user's mailbox and did not make it to the recipient. I checked the sent mail on the user's computer, it shows she composed the email with the correct hotmail address, no bcc or anything.

Checked the SMTP log on the Exchange 2003 Server (SBS), shows that the recipient was also correct there too.

Somehow, one of our VPs got the email instead of the intended hotmail recipient. Any ideas?

Upon further review (kind of embarrasing), this issue was a complete user error. The girl who wrote the email showed me the wrong email, when she showed me the correct email that she claimed went to someone else, she had just put in the wrong recipient. Sorry to waste anyone's time who read this and used any brain cells to process this.

I guess I have been a little nervous since upgrading to Exchange SP2.....
