First, let me say that prodigy.net is my ISP; I am running Microsoft Outlook 2002; and the Operating System is XP Professional (MCE 2004).

Lately, I occassionally receive E-mail messages as follows:

From: Mail Delivery System (MAILER-DAEMON@aol.com)
Subj: Returned Mail: user unknown

Attached are two files: details.txt and ATT020.txt.

When I edit the second file, it appears that that mail(from my email addresss), sent to someone at aol whom I do not know, is being returned because MAILBOX NOT FOUND unknown user. Yet I sent no such e-mail and there is nothing like it in my Outlook SEND box.

I have the latest NAV and a complete scan reveals no Virus nor Worm. Can anyone tell me what is going on?

Howdy:

Your email address is being spoofed by another system that is infected by any one of a couple dozen new virii that are capable of it..

Run a search on spoof here and you should get a few hits about it..

Nothing you can do until the infected system is found and cleaned.
