hi,

for some reasons certain mails r got stuck in my outbox.it is not going thru at all..

i tried one option which i read msn knowledge base.open the mail item and click send....after that mail message in the outlook inbox become italicized which means waiting to be sent.as they suggested..i closed the computer ..restarted...
i connected my outlook back again..still remaims...actually according the knowledge ..it should get thru....as those items are to be send...

i am not offline user..i am working lan area..i am always connected thru the net...

surprising..i could send those users other mails..for some reasons..these mails are in my outbox....

give me idea...

if anybody have come this problem..how did u solve this..

thank you....

Any errors? Is it trying to send them? Have you tried deleting them and creating new ones?

Matt J.

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.

Remove all extra mailboxes that you have added including your .pst then try and create another message.

If anyone calls and says "I know a little something about computers" just tell them to reformat it.

Nothing goes out as long as you have messages stuck in the outbox. I've done the following on Outlook97, but shoud be similar in newer versions:

In Outlook, go to the tools, services, internet email, properties & select the connection tab. Then set your connection to "connect manually". Exit Outlook. Be sure the mapisp32 is not still running (view with Ctrl-Alt-Del) after you exit.

Restart Outlook and go to the outbox & delete the hung messages (Highlite them & press the X.) Go back to the tools, services, internet email, properties, connection tab & set the connection back to "Lan connection". Exit Outlook again and make sure mapisp32 is not still running.

Restart Outlook - should be ok now.

I also have mail stuck in one of my user's Outbox. However in my case, the mails have been sent and delivered to the recipients yet they are still in the Outbox. It is countinously sending these stuck mails to the recepients. I have checked for viruses (SAVCE 9.0) and patch levels for both Office 2000 and the OS (Windows 2000 SP4) and the PC is up to date on all these. What might be causing this?
