I have created an HTML page in Word that contains loads of pics. In order to make email small i posted all images on a server and linked them to my webpage, which works fine, however, when I email that html file through Word, for some reason, it makes a copy of those images and includes them with the email body. Is there a way of stoping Word from including thes images and leave only links?

Suggestions of alternative methods of mail merging HTML pages is also welcome.

Thanks!

The flippant answer is....do not use Word for this.

1. HTML created in Word is bloated horrible HTML. But OK, you have done it already.

2. you state "email that html file through Word". Could you explain precisely what that means?

Did you email the html file as an attachment?
Did you email the html file IN the message body?

And confirm that you used Word itself for sending the mail. Did you send it as mail recipient? Send it for Review?

Also, please state what version you are using. Are you using Exchange?

Page is actually designed in Dreamweaver, however, we do personalised email merges and this is where word comes in with its email merge fascility.

I open HTML page in word, which essentialy converts it into Word HTML document. Page is sent as email body, not as attachement.
