I am having problems with mail merging a table to a word document for two reasons:
1)the first thing is that the mail merge works of a query which prompts the user to input the file code for which the report is produced for. The mail merge document opens up word and the database and you must click on the database to input the code. Is there a way that this msgbox prompting the code could appear on the word document?
2) I am trying to get another mail merege document to work off two different things firstly a header which says things like report title and the like. Then mid way through the document a table is requiered which takes things 5-15 bits of information which are related to that report. Is there a way that a table can be produced in word which gets this information from word and puts all the information into a table but just once in the title field? This also requries the user to input a code.
Would the best way to get rid of the code bit be to get a button which copies the data to a new table for which the user buts in a code before the word document is opened, which just presents them with the data and no code inputting in word?
