Forgive me I may be in a forum at a higher level, but what the heck, here's my question. I just upgraded from Office 97 to XP. In Office I had a mail merge for say an envelope, etc, that linked to an Access database. If I wanted to print just one envelope and not the whole list in Word 97) I would go to the mail merge helper and select options and set a field to equal the IDcode in the primary key field in access and then merge.

I can't find this in Word XP. Is it long gone or am I missing something?
Thanks,
doug

You've probably found this by now, but the Wizard launches form Tools/ Letters and Mailings/ Mail Merge Wizard. Microsoft has dumbed it down, so that the default is going through the wizard every time. I got so aggravated with it that I rewrote my code in Access to automate it.
If you just want access to the individual steps, you can choose the mail merge toolbar from Tools/Customize/Toolbars. The first few icons will have what you need. Put you pointer over them to see their tooltips.

JoyInOk,
Thanks for your reply. I actually stumbled upon the answer about a month ago. But thank you again.
