Mail Merge in PowerPoint?

Can mail merge be accomplished in PowerPoint?

I want to make a certificate in PowerPoint and merge names from Excel or Access. I know it works in Word.

Can some shed some light on the subject?

There is, but not directly. You would need to get an Add-in.

I don't think you can do it as a mail merge. However, if you format your list of names with the style Heading 1, when you import it into PowerPoint it will create a new slide for each one and the name will be in the title text box. So if you design your certificate with the name going into the title text box it should work.
