I have an application that sends mail to a manager everytime the status of an issue discrepancy changes to 'Ready for Recheck'. The manager is reporting that the mail is not always getting sent. I can not duplicate the problem. I checked the mail log in CFusion/Log/mail.log and found that no mail was logged since March 2002. I opened ColdFusion Administrator and saw that someone had unchecked 'Log all E-mail messages sent by ColdFusion'. I checked the box and submitted the change. The next day I checked the log and saw no change. Does this setting change require a reboot? When it says 'Log all E-mail' does it mean all or just if an error occurs. I am using ColdFusion 4.5 on a Windows 2000 Server.
