Magnetic Card Configuration on MICROS?

Hello, i need to know how to configure a magnetic card reader in WIN32 Micros.

Next question, What version of Micros are you running and Workstations?

Another question, Are you able to configure the mag readers to hardware mode?
For Workstation 4 and 5's running Micros 9700 (should be similar with other versions as well), This is how I have it setup for a USB Mag reader.
Note: this is setup via LEFT/RIGHT/LEFT, configuration mode on the workstation. - Make sure "PC Keyboard Reader" is enabled.

Hi, it´s a Workstation 5, runing with Micros 3700. But i dont know how to configure the Mag Reader. How did get to that setup screen?

On the workstation, while it is on and WinClient is loaded. Tap on the Upper left then upper right then Upper Left again, you will get a screen with some numbers on it, multiply the first two together, then add the 4th and 6th numbers to that and enter that number. Press the configuration button > MAG STRIPE READERS > Click on ENABLE PC KEYBOARD READER. Then click on Previous Menu (twice) and then Restart.

Test the Mag Reader once the workstation starts the Winclient and is ready.

OK, this works only on workstations? or i can do the same with a windows embedded pc?

Windows is fine, just use the mouse. Click the mouse in the Top Left, then Right, then Left again.

Is the mag reader built in or external?
If external is it USB or Serial?
