How do I specify in a macro, that lists a number of reports that are to be printed, what printer to use? I us a switchbox to go between a color printer and a b/w printer.
Deb Koplen
deb.koplen@telops.gte.com

A person can stand almost anything except a succession of ordinary days.

I would get someone to install a Second Parallel port in your PC for the second printer, and all of your problems will go away. They are ~$39.00 at Office Depot.

Then in each report you can specify the printer and save the "Specific" Printer in the report. There is no extra code required. The report goes the correct printer.
We do it for network printer the same way. It works very well.
See my FAQ on specific printers

<A HREF=" TARGET="_new">
DougP
dposton@universal1.com

Ask me how Bar-codes can help you be more productive.

Thanks, Doug, for your response. Two things. ..

1. I did not state my problem clear enought. What I need is a way to tell a report to print in a macro, that is run based on circunstance. For instance, in some cases the report is to be printed on my local b/w printer (very fast) because it is a draft copy, or needed yesterday. In other cases, I want it to print on a color printer (very slow) because it to be distributed to the "gods". I see me setting up two macros to do this type of task.

2. I could not find your FAQ.
Deb Koplen
deb.koplen@telops.gte.com

A person can stand almost anything except a succession of ordinary days.
