Machine restarting

my friend had a sasser problem, but it was cleaned.
he tried following this link

the only thing he messed up was he changed thename of the dll file, but didnt copied the newone..
but now my machine keeps restarting , it doesnt reach the desktop screen.
even if he goes in safe mode screen, select and hit enter, it restarts.

That link seems to apply to Windows 2000.

You might be able to return to some semblance of normality by using the Recovery Console to undo changes that were made or complete changes that were not completed.
