Hey all,
I'm trying to get one of my Mac users to connect to my Win 2k server and it's just not happening. My server is running service pack 3, and I'm running the Apple Talk protocol and the File Server For Macintosh service (and the service does start automatically). My user is running a Mac G4 with OS-X. Before anyone asks, yes the folders he needs access to are shared.
We can successfully install the MS UAM (and the 2k server asks for his login name and password) but that's where the success ends. There are two icons to click on at this point--UAM 3.6 and UAM 3.8. Opening either one of them opens another window with a UAM file, but opening the UAM file gives the following error message: "There is no application to open the document MS UAM." At this point I don't know If I'm heading down the wrong street, or if I'm even in the right city.
My question is this: After having successfully installed the MS UAM what is the procedure for my user to access his files on the Win2k server?
Thanks,
Joe Brouillette
