Mac OS and Linux Connect?

How can i share my linux folder to macintosh users?
I'ved heard about nettalk but when i try to see the process it's a long way to go for a newbie like. Can anybody reccomend some alternatives?

Which version of Mac OS? OS X runs on a Unix kernel, so you can use NFS to share files. If its pre-OSX, then I dunno.
