MAC Office 2001 SR1-Type 2 and 3 Errors

Have 2 MAC's (OS9.x)here, that when they open a PC-Word Doc (Office 2000)they get Error 2 or Error 3 msg.window and MAC Word closes.

I have removed MAC Office with the MS Office removel tool for MAC, installed MAC office again, put still get error's.

Any ideas how to fix this?
