I sent this to the SBS forum as well, but thought I would check here also.
I recently set up a new SBS 2003 server and I named the domain domain.local. The client has their MAC expert on site to install some software for their MAC's to access the network files and printing. He mentioned that there are issues with MAC's connecting to a domain with the .local suffix.
Is anyone aware what these issues are? He recommends changing the domain name, but from what I understand, you can not rename a SBS 2003 domain. I would basically have to rebuild the server.
Any information on this subject would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
