M3904 ste's display flash ...

Hi,
I am having problem in our newly installed Succession Rls 4 system.
The display of M3904 set flashes for a while when placing a call but this happen only ones. We have updated all new Deplist patches in the system but problem is still there.
What may be the cause of this falsing? any help!!

did you try a firmware update on the phone set?

It's in ld 32 but I don't know the prompts off the top of my head.

Try this first.

it may well be the firmware level, those HAVE to match the switch.. that or an incoming call on a scn mcn key will cause that same flash.. i noticed mine flash a few times them realized that i had some saved dn's on keys under the shift key, eventho they don't ring they flash the display.

I think I could not explain the problem ....

The display of M3904 set falshes ones while making outgoing calls. The set has only one SCR key defined on it. There is no problem with incoming.

Although the sets are new as came with system so I beleive the FW to be new. However it will be great if you can tell the FW which can be supported with Succession Rls 4.00T. I could not find any compatibility matrix for FW against SW Release.

download one 3904, that will show you the firware your switch is expecting to see. i just got in 80 new 3904's with old firmware.. they worked but had strange problems, ie forward key not on set, connect key was not on the set during a transfer, at times etc

I have got the follwoing data from our local PABX just to understand that what I really should see at customer side.
Does the Core and Flash FW need to be same??

Firmware on your phone is 47 - I believe 4.0 come with 87

This will give you a summary of what phones have what and which firmware is on switch.


to update firmware on one set:

You sayid that set flashes 1 or many 1s on screen - perhaps the 1 key is stuck. Perhaps you just have a faulty set.

Do the firmware download before replacing.
