I have a CS1000E rls 5.0 and am curious to know what to do about a specific M3904. This phone has an ACD on key 00 and the user's personal DN on key 01. Somehow, caller ID is not working on key 01 until the user answers the phone. This just started today - last week caller ID was showing before he answered the phone.

How do I fix this? I'm very new to Element Manager and Telephony Manager, but very willing to learn.

Thanks!

The TN needs CLS TDD CNDA (Tandem Digit Display and Callers Name Display Allow)

And depending on the use, DNDD or DNDA (I prefer DNDD)

I don't see TDD under CLS, but I do see CNDA and DNDD. Here's a partial print from EM of the user's TN:

TDD" means "Automatically display the caller information on all lines, before press line/lift handset"

"ADD" (What you have) means "Display the caller information on KEY 0 automatically, but require the user to press line/lift handset on KEY 1 and up before displaying call information"

So if I change ADD to TDD will he lose caller ID on key 0?

TDD" means "Automatically display the caller information on all lines, before press line/lift handset"

KEY 0 falls within "all lines" :)

Make it TDD - that's the fix.

You need to de-acquire the set in Symposium before making the change. Most folks will tell you to OUT and rebuild the set since it is an ACD set. Then re-acquire it. I have had good luck with de-acquiring the set, disabling the set, making my change, and then re-acquiring the set.
